Two years ago, my two daughters got married "DIY-style" within 3 months of each other. A while back I posted many DIY Wedding Decor photos from the two BIG DAYS! If you didn't see it, you can go HERE to check out that post!
I recently came across some more pictures that I took as items were made for the first wedding - a pink and orange beach wedding...
As the guests walked out onto the beach, they were given one of these cards. It contained a "Wishing Wand" and instructions.
When my daughter and her husband walked down the aisle after the ceremony - the guests waved these sticks in their direction and the ribbons flowing in the wind on the beach looked beautiful!
To make these, we cut thin wood dowels to about 6" in length. Regular scissors cut through the wood. We then used a thumb tack to attach the ribbon to the top of the dowel, along with a small flower - to hide the ends of the ribbon. Finally, we used an exacto knife to make two small slits into our cardstock, and then slid the dowel into place.
Here are a few of the "head table" centerpieces that I made.
On the guest book table, we thought it would be fun to have a place for guests to write some advice to the newleyweds on colored card stock.
We framed some directions for the guests and placed it next to the box.
And we made "flower" pens for them to write with. These were super simple and all the supplies came from the Dollar Tree. We used cheap pens, attached a flower stem with green floral tape and stuck them into a flower pot full of stones....
All these ideas were very budget-friendly and really looked cute together!
We placed sliced oranges into vases and topped with flowers and bows for the tables. We also just pooled orange and pink satin for the table runners over the plain white table cloths.
I handpainted this sign the day before the ceremony, as a last minute idea. Since we were at the beach, we filled a large flower pot with sand and then added some sile flowers to the bottom of the sign.
My son-in-law's mother created this AWESOME candy table for guests to enjoy!
And finally - my daughter, the beautiful bride, after the I-do's....
I hope you enjoyed seeing more of the DIY decorations from this beach wedding....
Tomorrow I'll be showing you the Bridal Shower DIY Decorations that I made for my other daughter's wedding along with some more DIY Wedding Decorations from her wedding.
Sharing the love at these AWESOME PARTIES!
